We usually learn about how important it is to take care of your physical, mental, and spiritual health. However, we forget how to do it.


If you would not take care of yourself then who else will.


We are living in a society and in a time where this issue is getting into the limelight. Today, we are talking about mental health, depression, psychological issues, and so on. Thus, talking about self-care becomes necessary.


If a person would have taken care of his/herself, mental health issues wouldn’t occur. We usually compromise on what we like to do, and how we want to live our lives, we compromise on all aspects of our health.


If you do more work than you are capable of doing, you end up being tired and exhausted before time. There has to be a balance between what you do, what you want to do, and how much you do.


When you give time to yourself, you will feel a spark of happiness and tranquility in your heart. Because you made yourself feel special.

Well, yes it is expensive because it costs you your time. Most of us feel that “we don’t have time to do this or that”. In this sense, yes time is expensive and self-care costs you time.


How to do self-care?

Here are some self-care ideas:

  • Self-care is just so easy. You can decide what you want to do to make yourself feel special.


  • Does a bite of chocolate lift you to the sky? Then go and give yourself a treat.


  • Is head massage your thing? What are you waiting for? Go make an appointment or just sit in your mother’s lap and get an eccentric massage.


  • Read your favorite book


  • Revive the Picasso in you


  • Go for a walk under the sky


  • Get a hot cup of tea or coffee


  • Spend time with your furry friends


  • Take a good nap


  • Meditate


Do whatever pleases you and gives you happiness and joy.
